Product Description

This quick-start guide teaches you everything you need to know to get started playing and winning at online poker right away, from choosing the best, safest poker sites to how to setup your HUD, to playing solid pre-flop and post-flop poker strategy. Mike is known for his ability to break concepts down into an easy-to-understand format, and with this series he does exactly that: delivering the information in a clear, concise, engaging format.

Video 1 – Goal Setting
The series begins with a discussion of long term and short term goals. Spending time setting these goals for yourself will bring focus and enthusiasm to all of your poker-related efforts. Mike also discusses the most important factors which will contribute to your success and ways to approach them.

Video 2 – Game Selection
This video describes all aspects of choosing a site from player traffic to VIP deals and bonuses. Then the discussion moves to game types (6-max, Full-ring, zoom, etc.), stakes and bankroll requirements. Mike concludes with table selection and seat selection and effective techniques for finding fish.

Video 3 – Software, Profiling & the HUD
This video describes the most important software tools to get. Also, Mike lists the most essential HUD stats to use and shows you how to set them up in the software. The video concludes with some examples of profiling your opponents using these statistics.

Video 4 – Basic Preflop Strategy
In this episode, Mike provides you with a safe, simple preflop system to get started. This includes all major aspects of preflop play, from open raising to 3-betting to cold-calling and more. While these hand ranges apply to 6-max, you could still use the same suggestions for 9-max, if you assume the first three positions have folded.

Video 5 – Post Flop – Bluffing
This video introduces postflop strategy. After offering some general advice on postflop play, Mike addresses all major aspects of bluffing. This includes bluffing when we are the continuation-bettor, when we are playing against the c-bettor, and when the flop is multiway. He also discusses double and triple-barrel bluffing and how to avoid traps.

Video 6 – Post Flop – Value Betting
The second video on post-flop play addresses value-betting. Mike outlines a framework for how to decide when to value bet and for how many streets. Examples are first given for one-on-one flops and then for multiway. The video concludes with how to get value when your opponent starts the betting.

Video 7 – Post Flop – Drawing
The last postflop video covers drawing. Mike defines many of the common terms associated with drawing, like outs, pot odds, and implied odds. He gives a cheat sheet you can use to minimize any math involved. And then he offers a simple process to follow for deciding when to draw as well as practical examples to demonstrate this.

Video 8 – Studying Poker
In the final episode, Mike helps you setup a strong study routine to ensure your game will continue to progress efficiently. This entails creating a customized schedule based on the amount of time you have to dedicate to poker and includes the appropriate study activities for your level. Mike also presents the “self analysis cycle”, a powerful framework for finding and plugging the biggest leaks in your game.
